Registration Deadline for eGovernment Excellence Award 2023 Extended to 7th September

In response to public demand, the Organizing Committee of the eGovernment Excellence Award 2023 announced that the registration and submission deadline for the award has now been extended to Thursday, 7th September 2023. All Public, Private and Civil society institutions, as well as individuals are invited to participate in the 12th edition of the award. Candidates can submit their technological and innovative initiatives and projects via the Award's website egovaward.bh.

The Organizing Committee highlighted that the deadline extension provides potential participants further opportunity to review their digital projects and initiatives before submission and review all requirements based on the criteria. This is particularly important considering the addition of new award categories this year, which may increase their likelihood of success in this significant national contest. The extension also allows participants more time to complete their registration procedures within the specified timeframe.

The Committee also stressed that eGovernment Excellence Award provides the opportunity for entities and individuals to recognize their innovative projects and showcase their efforts to develop services and systems aimed at enhancing eTransformation in the Kingdom.

The Committee highlighted that the key success factors of the award since its inception in 2008 includes the contemporary cutting-edge criteria, diversification of categories, and an independent knowledgeable jury members consisting of local and international experts in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and related fields. The award's extensive participation across sectors, particularly from private sector organizations, underscores its important role in realizing the government’s vision in enhancing its services, streamlining procedures, and promoting the private sector’s involvement in national development.

The Organizing Committee invites all entities and individuals to take advantage of the extended registration deadline. A reminder of this year’s award categories for both the Public and Private sectors include ‘Best Website’, ‘Best Practice in eParticipation’, ‘Best Integrated eServices’, ‘Best Application for Smart Devices’, ‘Best Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI)’, ‘Best Work Environment for Digital Innovation’ and ‘Best Project for Digital Transformation’. Additionally, individuals are invited to participate in the ‘Best Digital Initiative’ award.
